2026 GMC Acadia
2026 GMC Acadia: The Complete Mobridge Buyer's Guide
Trims, towing, tech, and pricing for South Dakota and North Dakota drivers — from Beadle Chevrolet GMC.
Quick Answer
The 2026 GMC Acadia is a three-row mid-size SUV with one powertrain across the lineup: a 328-hp 2.5L turbo paired with an 8-speed automatic and standard 5,000-lb towing. Four trims — Elevation, AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate — range from $43,800 to $63,100. It seats up to eight, offers available Super Cruise, and is sold and serviced at Beadle Chevrolet GMC in Mobridge.
What the 2026 Acadia is built for
The 2026 Acadia is the right size for the Dakotas: big enough for three rows and a boat trailer, small enough to live with on gravel and in town. It's a continuation of the larger, bolder Acadia generation, with a strong standard turbo, available hands-free driving, and trims that span work-ready to genuinely luxurious.
For families around Mobridge, the Acadia hits a practical sweet spot. The third row is usable, the standard Trailering Package means you can pull a fishing boat or small camper to Lake Oahe without a heavier truck, and available all-wheel drive keeps you confident from the first snow to spring thaw. Bismarck, Aberdeen, and Pierre are each about 100 miles away, so the available Super Cruise and comfortable cabin earn their keep on the long, straight hauls.
Trims: which 2026 Acadia is right for you?
There are four trims. Elevation is the value play and the only one with 8-passenger seating. AT4 adds standard AWD and real off-road hardware. Denali brings the luxury cabin and 20-inch wheels. Denali Ultimate is the flagship, with standard Super Cruise and Woodland Mahogany leather.
Elevation — $43,800
Standard 8-passenger seating, 15" screen, FWD or AWD, all the core tech.
Right for you if: you want maximum seats and value, and you'll add AWD for winter.
AT4 — $52,500
Standard AWD, lifted suspension, all-terrain tires, skid plate, Hill Descent Control.
Right for you if: you run gravel and pasture roads and want the most capable Acadia.
Denali — $55,900
Leather-appointed seats, 20" Pearl Nickel wheels, standard Head-Up Display, heated & ventilated front seats.
Right for you if: you want luxury and presence without stepping up to a full-size SUV.
Denali Ultimate — $63,100
Standard Super Cruise, Woodland Mahogany full leather, panoramic sunroof, Bose 16-speaker, 22" wheels.
Right for you if: you want the most comfortable highway SUV on the lot, hands-free and fully loaded.
Our pick for most Dakota buyers: the Denali. It's the value sweet spot of the lineup — the full luxury cabin, standard Head-Up Display, and 20-inch wheels, with available Super Cruise if you want it, all without the Ultimate's price jump. (It's also what we tend to have on the ground.)
Engine & performance
Every 2026 Acadia uses the same engine: a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder making 328 hp and 326 lb-ft, mated to an 8-speed automatic. It returns an EPA-estimated 20 city / 27 highway with front-wheel drive; the AT4 is rated 19 city / 24 highway.
That turbo-four is one of the stronger standard engines in the three-row mid-size class — it out-muscles the V6 in a Honda Pilot on torque and gives the Acadia confident passing power for two-lane highways. Fuel tanks are 19.3 gallons (FWD) and 21.7 gallons (AWD), which stretches the range between fill-ups on rural drives.
Towing & capability
The 2026 Acadia tows up to 5,000 lbs — and the Trailering Package that unlocks it is standard on all four trims. That's enough for most fishing boats, small campers, and utility trailers headed to Lake Oahe.
The standard package includes heavy-duty cooling, a 220-amp alternator, a factory-installed hitch, Hitch Guidance and Hitch View, and a 7-pin harness. AT4 adds extra off-road hardware — a lifted ride height (7.75 inches of ground clearance), all-terrain tires, a skid plate, Hill Descent Control, and red recovery hooks — for the rougher ranch roads.
Interior, seating & cargo
Seating is the key trim decision. The Elevation seats eight with a second-row bench; AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate seat seven with second-row captain's chairs. Cargo runs 23.0 cu ft behind the third row, 57.3 behind the second, and up to 97.5 with both rows folded.
The captain's-chair layout is the one most families end up wanting — it makes the third row easy to climb into and gives second-row passengers more space on long trips. If you regularly haul more than six people, the Elevation's bench is the only way to get to eight. The Denali Ultimate adds power-folding third-row and one-touch second-row seats to make the most of that 97.5 cu ft.
Technology & Super Cruise
Every Acadia comes with a 15-inch Premium GMC Infotainment touchscreen with Google built-in, an 11-inch driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and six USB ports. Super Cruise hands-free driving is available on Elevation, AT4, and Denali, and standard on Denali Ultimate.
For the kind of highway miles drivers here rack up, Super Cruise is the standout. On a compatible road it handles steering, braking, and acceleration so you can rest your hands and legs while staying attentive — a genuine difference-maker on a 100-mile run to Bismarck or Aberdeen. An 8-inch Head-Up Display is available on Elevation and AT4 and standard on both Denali models.
Safety
The 2026 Acadia includes more than 19 standard safety and driver-assistance features on every trim — including automatic emergency braking, blind-zone steering assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and HD Surround Vision with nine camera views.
Other standard items include Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Reverse Automatic Braking, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, and the Teen Driver and Buckle to Drive systems — useful peace of mind for newer drivers in the family.
Colors
The 2026 Acadia offers eight exterior colors. Summit White is the standard no-charge color; Glacier White Tricoat, Ebony Twilight, Sterling, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, and Downpour Metallic round out the orderable palette, with Riverstone Metallic exclusive to the AT4.
Downpour Metallic is reserved for the Denali and Denali Ultimate, and the AT4's Riverstone Metallic gives it a distinctive earthy look. You can see each color on the vehicle with our interactive picker on the 2026 Acadia colors page.
Ownership: warranty & reliability
Every new Acadia is backed by GMC's 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper and 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain limited warranties, plus the standard scheduled-maintenance and roadside programs. We handle warranty and service right here in Mobridge.
The Acadia is a newer-generation design, and like any redesigned vehicle it's worth buying with eyes open and good coverage. The factory powertrain warranty covers the engine and transmission for five years or 60,000 miles, GMC offers extended protection plans, and our service department keeps records and parts for the Acadia on hand — so if anything needs attention, you're not driving hours to get it sorted.

From the Beadle Chevrolet GMC lot
"On the lot right now we've got a Glacier White Denali, with more AT4 and Denali models on the way. If you want a specific color or trim, we can usually order it just the way you want it."
"The question I get most is seats: if you truly need eight, the Elevation is your trim. Most families here end up preferring the seven-seat captain's-chair layout once they try the walk-through."
"For the long drives to Bismarck or Aberdeen, take a Super Cruise model out on the highway before you decide. Most folks don't want to give it up afterward."

My take on the 2026 Acadia
Having helped a lot of families here choose between three-row SUVs, I think the 2026 Acadia lands in a genuinely useful spot for the Mobridge area. It's roomy and capable enough for boat-and-camper weekends on Lake Oahe, but it's easier to live with day-to-day than a full-size Yukon, and the standard 5,000-pound Trailering Package means you're not paying extra to get real towing.
If you genuinely seat eight on a regular basis, the Elevation's bench is the one to get. For almost everyone else, the captain's-chair trims are worth the trade, and the Denali is where I'd point most buyers — it has the comfort and presence people want without the Ultimate's price. Whatever you land on, take a Super Cruise model out on the highway before you decide; it changes how the long drives feel. When you're ready, the GMC Acadia inventory and ordering options at Beadle Chevrolet GMC are a good next step.
